Define the use scenario first
A custom shape should solve a makeup use case: foundation blending, under-eye setting, nose detail, contour, or travel kit application.
Prepare reference and dimensions
Send reference images, expected height and width, density preference, color, and packaging target. This helps the factory judge whether a new mold is needed.
Review hand feel and rebound
For sponge products, softness, water expansion, rebound, and surface texture are as important as shape. Samples should be tested dry and wet.
Lock the sample before bulk production
Once the sample is approved, confirm color, shape, density, logo or package details, and tolerance before bulk order production starts.
